People all differ in their mechanisms to reach their goal. One will avoid to do what is not the most attractive task, and the other will start with this first thing in the morning. Actually I would set my alarm 1 hour earlier, at 5 o’clock instead of 6 to get things done. And when getting aware pressure goes down I will just create new tasks, new goals to reach, or dust off some old ones. I just need to have an action list and some deadlines. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog. Pressure went down a little.
The other reason is many people ask me how I manage to live this crazy life. They consider it is as a hell on earth. I work in Paris and live there during the week. Every weekend I drive home, to the Netherlands. And I have frequent travels all over the world. Arrived home, my biggest challenge is an encounter with the laundry machine. Often I arrive on Thursday evening just before midnight and drive back to Paris on Sunday evening. Friday late afternoon I go to my boat for the weekend, so yes, always underway. At the start I really had difficulties with this way of living where my suitcase is my ever accompanying friend. Now I am so used to it that I cannot imagine it was otherwise. And I am very lucky to have my husband, Jacob, that fully supports me.
